Hello! And welcome to The Backdrop Room, opening May 1st. Since we are less than 2 weeks away from launching, we wanted to come and formally introduce ourselves and give you a sneak peek at the space and what we're offering. We are a family-owned business, and our team is a matrix between fresh-minded visionaries and tenured businessmen and women. We plan to not only bring you a creative space, but we will also be hosting events where our expertise lies that we hope to educate our community to create a thriving community.
Introduction to Us:
Samson is one of the DFW's best photographers, fast-tracking his way to success after only 4 years in the business. His work has been published several times, making its way into international waters over the 'big pond'. He specializes in portraits and fashion shoots where his bold and creative editing has been the sought-after highlight of his work. However, he enjoys shooting all types of special moments including countless surprise engagements, weddings, maternity, and family shoots.
Taylor is, well, a creative chameleon. She is the artistic eye, the visionary of our team. Nothing is unimaginable to her, and she is willing to make a way out of no way. Crafting and Designing on a budget is her specialty and the gem she will be bringing to The Backdrop Room clientele. She's the ultimate party planner and designer, interior designer, and renovator who loves to share her tips and tricks with everyone she meets. Want a custom balloon garland, centerpieces, photo booth, etc.? That's no problem - along with so much more, Taylor will see it through! She will also be hosting seminars in her other areas of business which include candle & craft making, makeup artistry, and real estate.
Perry is the true definition of if you have a Trade Skill, you're never without value. Perry turned his fascination with how machinery works into a successful HVAC engineering career. He's never low on energy and has a fix for just about everything. Half the items we are able to provide our Backdrop Room Clientele has had Perry's craftsman hands on the job. This will ensure that just about anything you can think up as a need for your event can be done with Perry overseeing the job. His passions include naturalistic health and nutrition, and education on how life insurance - when used correctly - aids wealth more than just the 'death benefit' which Perry will be hosting seminars teaching us about.
Robin is a tried and true hard worker. She has successfully mastered the climb of the corporate ladder and is now considered a partnered stakeholder of one of the largest Due Diligence firms in the U.S. Operations and seamless coordination is Robin's strength - she will incorporate this as the Event coordinator to all our Backdrop Room clientele who elect the coordination package. She will also host seminars on tips and tricks to master the Corporate Lifestyle in today's society as a minority female in what is often a male-dominated industry. Her passions include cooking and hosting her family, which will also translate into Events at The Backdrop Room.
Arthur has been a successful entrepreneur for decades, with vast experience in the sales and real estate industry dominating the mortgage broker world. There's not a soul that will out 'hustle' him. The motto he quotes daily is "Get up, Thank God, and Grind". Arthur will be bringing his connections throughout his career to The Backdrop Room clientele. Nearly anything you could need, he knows someone in the industry. His passions include his grandkids, fitness, and live music with a good drink. He will also be hosting Real Estate 101 courses alongside Taylor and a few other legendary mentors in the game.
Introduction to The Space:
The Backdrop Room is a creative studio and venue in Plano, TX. We say 'creative' studio versus 'photography' studio because we thrive in all lanes of creativity. Our name 'The Backdrop Room' is indicative of the fact that every single angle of our space will provide a photo or even selfie-worthy backdrop. We provide multiple aesthetics in our 'mini room' setups - modern but warm, charming but trendy to meet all your creative needs.
Need a family photoshoot? Or maybe you're launching a business and need to begin your personal branding journey. Perhaps you need to even shoot a commercial or your next youtube video and plan your launch party. Guess what, you can do all of these things within our space. It's absolutely amazing what a creative can do within 4 walls, and our designer put her skills to the test to ensure we maximized the potential within our primary location.

Open to 10 pm during the week and 12 am on Friday and Saturday
BYOB (with certain restrictions) & BYOC (caterer) - If you need a preferred vendor or bartender list let us know!
Tables & Chairs Included w/ all event rentals (suited for up to 50 people)
Lacking in the creativity department? Don't worry - our expertise can guide you thru the process and even create custom items for you and even with you. Our experience in hosting events provided us with the insight that we needed to make this process as stress-free and efficient as possible for you. You won't have to jump through hoops to enjoy our space.
As a family, gatherings and events are near and dear to our hearts. The creativity of all the different detailed pieces hosting an event encompasses brings us true joy.
